Vigilant Aerospace’s CEO, Kraettli L. Epperson, has been invited to make a presentation on October 7th at the upcoming AUVSI XPONENTIAL conference on the company’s record-setting 18-mile fully autonomous drone flight carried out by the company with Oklahoma State University’s Unmanned Systems Research Institute and utilizing the company’s FlightHorizon air traffic awareness and safety system. Epperson’s presentation is titled “Our 18-Mile Autonomous sUAS Flight” and will be part of the conference’s Education, Remote Pilot/Operator, Strategic Management and Technical tracks.
The presentation will review the company’s participation with Oklahoma State University in the 18-mile fully autonomous beyond visual line-of-sight flight with a small UAS in an FAA authorized flight corridor. The presentation will focus on the equipment and systems used to establish and maintain air traffic situational awareness, flight safety and maintenance of well-clear throughout the flight.
