DronePort Network has announced the launch of its Community Airspace Awareness Project (CAAP) at Ardmore Industrial Airpark and Mid America Industrial Park. The project addresses growing concerns over low-altitude airspace conflicts caused by the increasing use of drones and autonomous aircraft.
The use of commercial drones is rapidly expanding across industries due to their versatility and efficiency in tasks ranging from aerial photography and surveying to delivery services and agriculture. The rise of autonomous flight systems has further enhanced their appeal, enabling cost-effective operations in sectors like logistics and disaster response. This trend is driven by the growing demand for faster, more adaptable solutions, making drones a valuable tool for many commercial purposes.
CAAP aims to provide real-time airspace monitoring and safety improvements at local airports and surrounding communities through airspace awareness. At the heart of the project is Vigilant Aerospace’s FlightHorizon system, which enhances airspace management by providing real-time monitoring, traffic alerts and long-term reporting at both locations.
