Emerging Technology and Solutions for UAS Airspace Integration and Active Detect-and-Avoid to Enable Beyond Visual Line-of-Sight Flight

Tuesday, May 1, 2018 3:30 – 4:00 PM Solutions Theater – in the XPO Hall (view floorplan)   Presentation Summary: As we move towards integration of unmanned aircraft into the US national airspace, we face an increasingly complex safety system requiring integration to air traffic control, networked airspace management like UTM, and tactical detect-and-avoid technology to create a multi-layered safety infrastructure.   What solutions are available to build a reliably safe and integrated airspace? Do you have the technology required to mitigate all risks and to obtain authorization for your flights?   This session will present recent real-world experiences using FlightHorizon GCS and FlightHorizon COMMANDER to provide situational awareness, data fusion and airspace management and to create and maintain a safe, integrated airspace.
For those wishing to attend, the Solutions Theater is highlighted on the XPO Hall map:   In addition to our presentation, you can schedule to meet with us before or after the presentation. Contact us to request a meeting and we will be happy to discuss how FlightHorizon can benefit your unmanned aircraft operations. View the XPO Hall Floorplan for location details. Conference Details:

About Vigilant Aerospace Systems

Vigilant Aerospace is the leading developer of detect-and-avoid and airspace management software for uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS or drones). The company’s product, FlightHorizon, is based on two NASA patents and uses data from multiple sources to display a real-time picture of the air traffic around a UAS and to provide automatic avoidance maneuvers to prevent collisions. The software is designed to meet industry technical standards, to provide automatic safety and to allow UAS to safely fly beyond the sight of the pilot. The software has won multiple industry awards and the company has had contracts and users at NASA, the FAA, the U.S. Department of Defense and with a variety of drone development programs.
