Vigilant Aerospace Systems has been named as one of the top eight technology startups in Oklahoma City by The Tech Tribune in their annual city-by-city listings of the most promising tech startups in major cities throughout the US.
The list, titled “
2020 Best Tech Startups in Oklahoma City,” is part of the Tribune’s flagship article series, released annually since 2017.
According to The Tech Tribune, the series is meant to recognize the most exemplary young companies in the United States:

- Leadership team
- Brand/product traction
- Competitive landscape
In addition, to qualify as a tech startups, companies must meet several additional criteria:
- Independent (un-acquired)
- Privately owned
- In operation 10 years or less
- Completed at least one round of funding
