Vigilant Aerospace Systems recently sponsored and attended the UAS Tech Forum in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, the annual event hosted by the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Cluster Initiative of Oklahoma and Kansas. The forum brings together industry, research, education, and government stakeholders to discuss current commercial UAS needs, technical advances, and regional collaboration across the southern mid-west.
This year’s event included representatives from NASA, Kratos Unmanned, the University of Oklahoma, Wichita State University, Oklahoma State University, Metro Technology Centers, Tulsa Tech, and Vigilant Aerospace Systems, along with state leaders including Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin. In her welcoming address, Governor Fallin pointed to the growth and expanding applications of the industry, saying,

“It’s exciting to see all the investment that we’re getting with UAS technology.” She added, “It’s becoming more and more driven by different needs within our national, worldwide economy. You can use it [a drone] for so many different things.”
For Vigilant Aerospace, the forum provided an opportunity to connect with regional leaders working to advance uncrewed aircraft systems, commercial adoption, and supporting aerospace infrastructure. Events like the UAS Tech Forum continue to serve as an important venue for collaboration among companies, universities, and public agencies shaping the future of the industry.
