The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) Great Plains Chapter announced that Vigilant Aerospace Systems Director of Business Development Zach Peterson has been re-elected as chapter secretary. The election continues his involvement in regional leadership for uncrewed aircraft systems, autonomy and aerospace development.
AUVSI chapters support community activities and STEM outreach, and provide local opportunities for industry networking and regional engagement. AUVSI Great Plains is a regional chapter serving the Upper Great Plains with an emphasis on collaboration and information sharing.
Peterson previously joined the chapter’s board of directors in 2023. At Vigilant Aerospace, he leads business development and partner engagement across the aerospace, defense and autonomous aviation sectors. He also holds Part 61 private pilot and Part 107 remote pilot certificates. As secretary, Peterson will support the chapter’s work connecting industry, government and academia across North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.
