Vigilant Aerospace Systems has released a new explainer video for FlightHorizon™ ALERT, the airspace alerting system for airports, airfields, critical infrastructure sites, and sensitive facilities. The video shows how users can create monitored zones around runways, buildings, perimeters, restricted areas, and other sensitive locations, then receive alerts when detected activity enters those zones.

FlightHorizon ALERT is designed to provide practical airspace awareness without requiring a radar tower or complex setup. The system displays nearby aircraft and drone activity on a shared web-based map, sends visual and audible alerts when detected traffic enters a monitored zone, and logs alert events for review. FlightHorizon ALERT detects drones broadcasting Remote ID and monitors crewed aircraft using Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) signals, giving airports and facilities a simple way to see what is nearby and understand what happened after an alert. For more information about the product, system capabilities, and subscription options, visit the FlightHorizon ALERT website.

About Vigilant Aerospace Systems

Vigilant Aerospace is the leading developer of multi-sensor detect-and-avoid and airspace management software for uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS or drones). The company’s product, FlightHorizon, is based on two NASA patents and uses data from multiple sources to display a real-time picture of the air traffic around a UAS and to provide automatic avoidance maneuvers to prevent collisions. The software is designed to meet industry technical standards, to provide automatic safety and to allow UAS to safely fly beyond the sight of the pilot. The software has won multiple industry awards and the company has had contracts and users at NASA, the FAA, the U.S. Department of Defense and with a variety of drone development programs.
