Global Airspace Radar has republished Vigilant Aerospace Systems’ press release announcing the deployment of the company’s FlightHorizon TEMPO airspace management system at the Oklahoma Air & Space Port in western Oklahoma. The release describes the installation of multiple long-range radars and transponder receivers as part of a multi-year project for the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics (ODAA) to support advanced testing of autonomous aircraft and spacecraft. It also outlines how the system provides real-time traffic display, automatic “detect-and-avoid” (DAA) functions, and flight logging and reporting across a large test area.
According to the article, the current installation supports approximately 5,000 square kilometers of coverage, with expansion planned to about 10,000 square kilometers, and includes three DeTect air traffic surveillance radars already installed, with additional radars to follow.
