Java Developer Job Description:

Vigilant Aerospace is looking for a Java software developer to join our ambitious startup team. We need someone who likes hard problems, is eager to learn in an innovative environment and wants to make a national impact at the frontiers of robotics, drones, automation and flight safety. We are a startup company developing avionics and control software based on technology licensed from NASA. This system is a central component of the US effort to allow drones to fly in the national airspace. It will improve flight safety for both manned and unmanned aircraft, change the way air traffic is managed in the US, and allow drones to be integrated into air traffic control. We are looking for a rock star developer with solid Java application design, architecture and development experience to help us take our NASA prototype software to the next level. In addition to writing awesome software, you’ll have opportunities to learn about next generation air-traffic control protocols, radio control interfaces, autopilots, micro-radars, machine vision and a wide range of other cutting-edge technologies.
Developing & Commercializing Products:
You’ll help us commercialize the prototype, improve the interface and functions, and then help us migrate onto new platforms and develop new products. Java Developer Requirements
